Purpose

Conservancy Purpose: To conserve and manage the wildlife species and their habitats with particular focus on increasing the prosperity and security of the local communities. To work as a catalyst for conservation to promote and support community conservation initiatives in communally owned lands around our boundary. To influence positively neighbours’ attitudes towards wildlife.

Conservancy Vision Statement: To maintain and develop a world class, legally designated fully operational and sustainable wildlife sanctuary and to support to the optimum extent local community projects which conform to SCL eco-system management principles.

Conservancy Mission Statement: Soysambu Conservancy works to sustain wildlife species, indigenous livestock and habitat; supports local conservation initiatives; facilitates neighbouring community development and educates the community in the value of flora and fauna, in order to preserve the Rift Valley Ecosystem for the benefit of future generations.
